Hey All - I'm sorry it's been so long since I sent an update out to the list. We've been busy, trying to get the hang of both of us working and taking care of Belle and hanging out. Today Janelle and I got to go on a date since we both had the day off and Grams volunteered to watch Belle so we could get away together. If you've never been, I highly recommend the Sonoma Chicken Coop in San Jose. Good stuff.
Things have been pretty great. Belle continues to get cuter every day, and it seems like she's learning stuff quickly too. She has almost mastered moving her head around - she responds to noises and all that. She's very social and loves interacting with people. She guzzles about six ounces at a feeding these days.
A couple weeks ago Belle rolled over for the first time. She's duplicated the feat once but it's not part of her regular routine yet. Belle has, however, taken to arching her back and making a groaning/grunting noise when she is displeased with something. As adorable and good-natured as she is it is becoming clear Belle likes things her way. She's really nosy too, and hates not being able to see what's going on around her.
She loves spending time at Grandma's house. Grandma Cornelio watches her a few days a week, and Belle has a great time with her, Anthony, and the two dogs. Belle sits in her bouncer and surveys her surroundings, being entertained by the antics of her subjects.
Janelle's health is getting better slowly. She's improving a bit from her various ailments and hasn't had a serious "gallstone" (who knows what the real source is) attack for a while. Tomorrow morning we're leaving early and she has a test in Santa Clara to help figure out if she does in fact have gallstones. We're hoping the test will turn something up, or that Janelle's symptoms will completely disappear.
Anyway, things are going well at the Perdue household. We are totally blessed to have this beautiful baby girl and also one another. We love you guys and hope you enjoy these pictures of Belle.
